Hi, my name is Natascha. I am from Germany and a PhD student in Social Sciences. One of my German friend lived in Ghana and recommended me to visit West Africa. I decided to travel West Africa and to work as a volunteer with social projects in Ghana and Togo.

I found Faith Charity Foundation through the Workaway website and stayed with them in November 2017. During my time in Golokwati, I got a good glimpse of the work they are doing . I believe that it is totally worthwhile supporting them in their efforts, be it with donations or by coming here to work with them as a volunteer.

FCF organisation is small, locally rooted and in still in a growing phase. The opportunities to make a contribution as a volunteer are varied.

Staying in Golokwati gives you a very good chance to experience daily life in the community, interact with friendly neighbors and to learn a bit of Ewe (local dialect spoken in the Volta Region). There are also many nice places like waterfalls, mountains, or town markets to visit nearby.  You won’t get bored during your free time and on weekends.
